What we offer:

Services Offered

Speech-Language Pathology Services

Speech-Language services offered include Therapy, Evaluation, and Consultation for disorders of speech (i.e., articulation, fluency, resonance, voice) and language (i.e., phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics) in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Communication-related cognitive rehabilitation services in improving attention, memory, and executive functioning (e.g., problem-solving, reasoning, planning) are also offered to clients with neurogenic impairments secondary to acquired brain injury and/or stroke. Bilingual therapy in Mandarin Chinese is also offered.

Therapy | Therapy sessions are provided by a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist (SLP). Clients are typically seen individually, and small group sessions can be arranged depending on the client's needs.

Evaluation | A comprehensive evaluation is conducted to determine what (if any) communication disorders exist. The SLP will collect client history and information through an interview with the client/caregivers. A battery of formal, standardized tests and informal/dynamic assessment measures will be utilized. This is typically a 1.5- to 2-hour process (3-hour maximum). After compiling the data, scoring the tests, interpreting the results, and writing an assessment report, the SLP will schedule a follow-up appointment to explain the findings to the client/caregiver and determine the next best plan of treatment, if needed.

Consultation | A consultation refers to a review of the client's previous reports, informal observation of the client, discussion with the client/caregiver about concerns, and input from the SLP as to the next best course of action. This is a 60-minute service, and no reports are provided with a consultative appointment. If a recommended comprehensive evaluation is scheduled with our practice within 60 days following the consultation, we will deduct the consultation fee from the total fee for the assessment.

Academic Tutoring

60-minute and 90-minute individualized academic tutoring sessions are offered for developing literacy, reading comprehension, written expression, math reasoning, and math problem-solving skills.

Testimonials

Kristina, Mother of Zak (elementary student): “Throughout the school year, we discussed our son’s progress with her, and Jasmin was extremely responsive and flexible in fine-tuning the [sessions] depending on pace, progress, or focus changes that came up. Jasmin is an excellent communicator and listener. We always felt connected with her, and she promptly and thoroughly replied to all our suggestions, as well as showed initiative in introducing changes in methodology depending on our son’s progress and test results. Jasmin is extremely reliable, courteous, pleasant, responsible, intelligent, and patient. She has a wonderful way with kids, making the [sessions] fun and at the same time being able to maintain focus on getting work done.”

Yen Li, Mother of Andrew and Casey (elementary students): "I enjoyed personalized class design from Jasmin who genuinely wanted the same goals for me child and not just spend an hour on pre- existing/general exercises. She listened to our child's needs and worked with them based on their interests. Her skills at keeping children on track without losing interest were phenomenal. Jasmin is a great speech therapist. Our younger son loves working with her because she is so fun and patient. I love working with Jasmin because she is very structured and fit in many activities toward the improvement of the child. She will not hesitate to change the direction or pace of the course work if she feels the child is ready for the new idea or new concept. This helps us greatly as I see vast improvement in my child. Her fun and interactive drills and games and her willingness to talk to parents on weekly progress are the skills that I admire and appreciate. Jasmin is truly a gem in the world of personalized instruction."
